Re: sending postcards 2008
Food for thought here I suppose. I last bought postcards from a rack last year in Scarborough. I must confess that the cards were bought as additions to my collection and not for sending through the post. Perhaps I will do my bit in the furure and send cards to family and friends. After all, they wi...

Re: Mirrored Postcard
Interesting. I too have a mirrored image of the Edwardian actress Gladys Cooper, posing in a doorway with one of her children. I am left wondering which of the two cards is the geniune article?

Re: Best Place to Buy Modern Postcards
Personally I think the best place to buy moderns is MEP Postcards, without a doubt. They are efficient and will send you lists via the internet if so desired. I have a standing order for new issues from my particular publisher and MEP Postcards can be relied upon to send them along and are reasonabl...

Grading of condition.
:( I do get so exasperated at times. Today I received some comics via a seller on ebay. They were all described as "Great Condition" which prompted me to bid on them. On receipt I found that although most of them could be described as fair to good, one or two were certainly below par. In f...

Re: Modern postcard retail prices
What would I pay? My subject of comics is vast and so I confine my collecting to a few specific publishers and ignore the rest. I rarely pay more than £2.00 for a card described as good or better condition.

Jester Comicard
As a collector of comic postcards, I came across one or two new additions today and I wonder if anyone has any knowledge of them? They have a divided back, a "Jester Comicard" motif and publisher, 10 Welbeck Way W.1 Could these be a variation of the "Jester Edition" comics? Help ...

Re: Closure of many Post Offices
Yes, a sad sign of the times when the profit motive will come before the needs of people. My local post office at Wellingborough in Northamptonshire has just closed, now the pensioners must "hobble" along to the next available post office! There was no point in signing the petition, the po...

Comic Postcard Query.
I know that it is something of a shot in the dark but we have one or two rather learned collectors among us, so here goes: Could anyone identify the initials "JF" on comic postcards, published by Brook Publishing Company Ltd. London W.1 ?

:( Personally, I find insurance, just one giant rip off. Experience has taught me that the insurance companies are very happy to take your premiums every week/month, then comes the crunch. You have to make a claim ! Oh calamity! This is where the small print comes into play and they are full of opt ...

Comic Postcard Artists
:( Having a main interest in comic postcards, I am always intrigued by the artist's impressions. I would like to discover more about the artist in question but find it almost impossible to find out much. I asked for info, via PPM, regarding the artist David Philip Millar, who signed his cards with s...
