At the moment we are running at a nail biting 3 votes each - still plenty of time to cast yours, and ensure we reach a decisive (though totally unenforceable) conclusion.

The answer is no, PPM is THE magazine for postcard collectors.

Too much of a niche market for W H Smith.

It can also be found on sale at virtually any postcard fair, though I must say that I am surprised that taking out a postal subscription would be too much trouble.

A good place to start would be the auctions section of the PTA website, many would have collections and accumulations available.

File In Front Or File Behind?

I thought I would give the poll feature of the forum a trial by asking the age old question as to whether collectors and dealers prefer to see postcards at fairs filed in front of or behind the dividers. Feel free to give reasons for your choice. Kevin PS Please note that this Poll was actually run ...

As this topic is being blitzed by some kind of spambot I am going have to lock it.

I am having to delete these posts regularly - please pm me (or any of the mods) if you wish to have the topic unlocked in order to post something on topic and not related to ringtones etc.

[quote="RailMan" - It's the same with the vinyl covers at fairs, some dealers even take them off when they cost 5p or so each . Some dealers seem to use them again and again . they look so grotty you have to take the card out to see the detail on real photo cards.[/quote] Increasingly deal...

Re: POSTCROSSING.COM - BEST POSTCARD WEBSITE EVER

http://www.postcrossing.com is addictive and fun! And you get to talk and meets lots of different people. ROYAL MAIL - Pricing In Proportion - Any Thoughts?

This looks like it could be bad news for postcards. At the moment I use two generous rectangles of cardboard when sending small numbers of cards through the post, creating a practically unbendable package. Once the 5mm thickness limit is in force the choice will either be to reduce the amount of pro...

Re: who are you?

Customers at postcard fairs are often in complete ignorance of who they're dealing with. Stands not adjacent to a wall mostly exist in a sea of anonymity! Dealers seem to think that they are well-known to everyone, but of course this is patently not true. Collectors deserve to know the identity of ...

Re: Postcards - expanding your comfort zone

I've just come back from the busiest one day fair I've been to for a very long time. It was nearer for me than Chester or York and had dealers from 5 countries and over 1000 collectors through the door in the first two hours. Collectors - you missed a treat. Dealers - I will be promoting the Pictur...
