Re: Post Office First Day postcards
Hello Ruth... My personal advice would be to put them back in the cupboard I am afraid. The only cards of this type that carry any collectible value at all are the sets with sought after postmarks. I have many myself that have come along with other collections purchased years ago and I often think I...

Re: Shoesmith & Etheridge (S&E)
All of these 3 measure approx 5.70 by 4.10 - would have probably been published in the 60's early 70's when other publishers (most notably Frith's) started a range of larger type RP cards. I didn't know that Shoesmith & Etheridge had copied the trend until these popped up. Winchelsea 9 scene mul...

Re: Shoesmith & Etheridge (S&E)
It's the third card I know about numbered 64, quite an interesting puzzle really. Probably stems from Shoesmith taking over the stock of two or three other Hastings publishers that he was working for, including The Sussex Postcard Company Hi Ron, Just to add to that info about card no 64... The Ecc...

Re: Shoesmith & Etheridge (S&E)
Thanks Dean! I have another RP of a dog, and also a cat. Assume for fun they took photos of the office animals or those belonging to staff??!!!!! Not a million miles away from my thinking - I was supposing that they just happened to grab dog walkers going past the office. I just wish they were a bi...

Re: To eBay or not to eBay?
Hello all I used to sell on Ebay - and had a good time selling there. I took a month off listing back in June/July to build up my Ebid shop a bit - its been so busy I haven't been back to Ebay since. So it wasn't a case of leaving Ebay because of the fees or anything, just a natural progression. The...
