Yes the Family History people are on to this, especially a chap called Colin Buck who has been indexing cards by the names on the back for some time

Andrew - that seems to be a link to a web page rather than to a specific image.

Anyone had any experience of pricing in proportion being enforced? I've had a couple of incoming packages with stickers attached, telling me to let the sender know that the postage was incorrect, but that no additional fee would be charged at the moment. Just wondered if anyone had yet had to pay up...

I did try to find out some definite info on this when the original post came in, but gave up in the end. Judging by the number of books based on early postcards which exist I think it is safe to say that copyright is not a problem with such material - but can anyone quote the actual regulations? Kev...

Unfortunately much (if not all) all pre war material was lost in an air raid in December 1940.

Maybe others will know what happened to the later records?
