It is with regret that I have to report my father, Peter Lawrence, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday 14th October just a couple of weeks after celebrating his 77th birthday. He leaves a loving wife Kathleen, three sons and four grandchildren of which he was very proud.
All of the family had visited him very recently following his move to a new Nursing Home three weeks ago where he had told us he was very comfortable and which the grand-children had reported was 'more like a posh hotel'. He had settled in there very well, had a lovely room overlooking the gardens and where he passed peacefully in his sleep.
Although absent from the postcard collecting world for a number of years, we are aware that there are a number of people that would like to know he has passed on and for whom we do not have up-to-date addresses.
There will be a small, family funeral - floral tributes gratefully declined. For those wishing to make a chartiable donation, we felt that the British Heart Foundation would be the most appropriate.
