Hello,
Sorting my very small collection of Christmas postcards (taking photo etc.) I also like to add details about date, publisher, etc. Some of the logos I have been able to identify on the following sites, some in Dutch :
http://cartophilie.be/index.php
http://www.metropostcard.com/index.html
http://www.tpa-project.info/body_index.html
http://www.verzamelvrienden.nl/index.php?page=home
but not all of them.
Are there some other sites available ?
Thanks for your help.
Thelma

Re: Identifying logos
Hello Thelma,
Your list of postcard logo sites is much the same as my own, the Metropolitan and the TPA project sites in particular being good sources. I've looked in the past and haven't found others with the same breadth of coverage. The Playle.com site has few pages displaying postcard backs but the focus is on RP postcards.
If you have pictures of the logos somewhere on the internet (perhaps on photobucket or flickr etc) then post the web address here and I'm sure you'll get some help. Similarly if any of the logo's are simple to describe post the details here. If you have pictures but cant get them up onto the internet just send me a private message (there's a 'PM' icon over on the right under my ID -only visible if you are signed in - otherwise just click on my id above) and I'll try to help.

38 - POSSIBLY Leo of Pradot (Paris) -not one I'm familiar with but Metro site has some detail
41 - Illustrated Post Card Co (New York)

I have updated the page with the logo's and hope that someone can complete or correct with publisher's and/or printer's name.

Re: Identifying logos
Not sure what cards you collect (!), but another logo site is
http://www.helmut-schmidt-online.de/Bou ... shers.html
and a mega-reference given there, for French cards
http://fr.wikibooks.org/wiki/Photograph ... s_postales
This latter confirmed my suspicion, after much squinting at cards, that KE is actually KF.
One problem with logos is that, even if you track down a name, it is usually impossible to find further details of the publisher on the web, at least in English. Another is that there were so many mergers etc, eg with RPH/Rotophot.
Keep up the good work!

Dear davidnugget,
Thank you for the links. I have saved them and will go through them.
I also had a squint at my KF and is now a KF. I will adjust.
