Packet Card

Post by matty1965 »

Hi,

I have come across an undivided back card, it's from "The Popular Series" and wishes the recipient a Merry Christmas with a rather weird rhyme about scissors and has a pair of light blue cutout scissors glued to the front. Anyhow the reason for my question is that on the back it says "Packet Card" rather than "Post Card". In all other respects it is the same as a postcard with a space for a halfpenny stamp. I've not come across one of these before so wondered if anyone could let me know what it is, there doesn't seem to be any mention in any of my books or on the Internet of this "packet card".

Thanks!

Matty

Hi,

It's "The Popular Series" so I assume published by A.M & Co, London. I'll scan it in this evening and upload.

Matty.

Thanks for the picture updates - very helpful but just as intriguing!
