yes, really... how many of those did you buy, I wonder? ...and there may be less on eBid because they are sold already!Moonraker wrote:Really?
I searched eBid "All categories" for "Salisbury Plain": 15 hits, including four copies of the same aviation print. On eBay, search limited to "Collectables":166 hits.
CollectIreland wrote:Have to agree with Moonraker, eBid is useless - handpainted postcards brought up just 3 items today. eBay for all its faults remains the only place to find anything and Delcampe is rubbish since they altered the site.
My collection exceeds 2,200 items, so additions don't happen very often. But since Christmas I've put in bids for five items on eBay and so far have won three at prices I'm pleased with. It is hard to please everyone, especially if you have a narrow and specific interest as well being a collector of long standing... it remains worth checking eBid from time to time as more dealers join up... best luck with your bids.Moonraker wrote:My collection exceeds 2,200 items, so additions don't happen very often. On eBid the only listings within my area of interest are two of the same "print" - actually pages detached from an old magazine with ridiculous asking prices and also listed on eBay. I've also searched for several localities on the Plain - nothing at all on eBid in most cases, whereas there are a dozen or two for each place on eBay.
eBay or eBid? eSaid (Enough said)!

Well, I managed to find 21 'hand painted' postcards (as opposed to 'handpainted')on eBid... not sure what type you are looking for.
Here is an independent comparison of eBid vs ebay: http://www.ebid.net/uk/topten.php

Crail is in Scotland but I haven't located a picture of the beacon as yet. Thanks again.
