Foreign Cards on UK Ebay

For many years I have been buying Australian cards on Ebay sites.

Curiously I have noticed that far more cards surface on the US site than on the UK site.

Do members have any ideas as to why this is so ?

Cheers

The ebay.com site is perceived as being the 'universal' site so some people post on that rather than their own countries site.

Lots used to be visible worldwide according to the section they were put in rather than where you posted them from but not any longer you have to pay more for that.

Ebay seem a bit biased towards the .com site themselves

Yes I am well aware of population differences but the dross that gets listed on Ebay currently can only be explained by the 'backpacker' desire to offload modern cards after a trip to Australia.

Perhaps the dealing fraternity in the Uk is older and less inclined to use computers to sell ?? Fear of 'new fangled' technology perhaps ?

Better quality cards for my collecting interest (on average) tend to be found on the US site than the UK site ... most curious as I have been to the UK in search of cards many times and always come back with a good haul from fairs.
