Nothing to do with porters, even Cole Porter, colportage is the distribution of leaflets, usually religous based. They must have bought and overprinted my (tatty) Misch postcard (remainders?) of Harland & Wolfes Shipbuilding Yard, Belfast (ships being precariously built on flimsy wooden scaffold) with their name and Farringdon St address on the back and a quote from the bible on the front (doesn't seem very apt!) Anybody else seen cards from them? Dave
