Publisher Excel Cards

Post by normanfrank »

EXCEL Cards I would be grateful for any information about the publisher(s) who produced cards with the Logo EXCEL SERIES. Postal dates are prolific throughout the 1930's. When did they first appear ? Was Excel a distinct publishing company, or the name of an established company's sub-company? Any details gratefully received.

This is a good one... I have seen many similar postcards in much the same time frame. Here are some examples from eBid produced in the Excel Series: https://www.ebid.net/uk/perl/main.cgi?u ... ce2=&used=

The publisher eludes me too at the moment, I'm afraid. I cannot find any reference in my postcard books, but I am keen to find out... watch this space!
