Funeral Postcards

Looking for postcards of funerals - preferably RP. Am also interested in both printed and RP postcards showing close-ups of hearses. If you can help, please PM me in the first instance.

Marjorie C Bates Postcards

I am looking for postcards of sketches by Marjorie C Bates. I'm primarily interested in her landmarks postcards published by the British Art Company, but would consider other works by her regardless of publisher. If you can help, please PM me. Thanks.

Re: Some assistance required :)

I agree with Kevin. However, when I sell postcards on eBay I also tend to state whether or not the card has been postally used and, if so, when. I certainly wouldn't go to the trouble of researching each card otherwise it might take forever to list them :!:

Re: Marjorie C Bates Postcards List

Thanks very much. I'll see if I can track down a copy of the 1984 PPM.

Re: sending postcards 2008

I'm just back from holiday in the West Country and am pleased to say that I actually spent time sending postcards to family and friends. Judging by the number of replies to this thread I guess that I might be one of a rare breed. Have to admit, though, I spent far more increasing my vintage postcard...

Re: Ebay or fairs? The choice is yours.

My collection of postcards has come from fairs (both postcard and antique) and eBay. I've had very good acquisitions from both. But if pressed to make a decision on this, I would plump for the fairs. To my mind there is nothing better than actually seeing the item prior to buying. Unfortunately for ...

?? Hold to Light Postcard With a Difference??

Somebody has contacted me to ask about a type of postcard which I have not personally come across. Apparently, the postcard was in a 3D carved wooden frame showing the inside of a Swiss chalet with tables, chairs and a broom at the side, and the postcard formed the back wall or perhaps a big window....

Re: Deltiologist (Postcard Collector)

My collecting habit started with Victorian Cartes de Visite and Cabinet Portraits which I found in antiques shops and which I try to return to the families from which they came. After about a year, I found myself browsing through boxes of vintage postcards in said antiques shops and, before long, I ...

Re: SUDOCARDS

Not sure about how Sudoku puzzles on postcards would be accepted. However, a year or so ago I did manage to sell quite a number of greetings cards with Sudoku puzzles on them. Why not give your postcards a try on a well known internet auction site? It would be interesting to see if they sell and, if...

Marjorie C Bates Postcards List

Does anybody know if there is a definitive list of sketches by Marjorie C Bates which were published as postcards? I know that she was a very prolific artist!
