Re: What is the meaning of "Visé Paris" on WW1 postcards?

I always assumed (but don't know?): That Visé Paris meant that the card had been referred (Visé = referred) via a central department in Paris for approval for the image to be published. The number would be the publishers chosen number of the card to be referred and subsequently approved. The image w...

Re: WICKHAM WICKHAM WICKHAM WICKHAM

Hello Glen You purchased my only card to date on eBid, I will let you know if anymore come up. Not sure if you have done this already but you can do a saved search on eBid (the same as you can do on ebay) to receive e-mails should anyone list anything with Wickham in the category Postcards>Hampshire...

Re: What do I do

Sell them.

You could sell them online on ebay, or eBid (cheaper) - or many other online places. Other than that if you have a local postcard fair then take them along.

Re: Delcampe

I have just registered with Delcampe and there are several postcards I would like to buy but I can't see much help about how to start. I saw Delcampe mentioned here originally, so does anyone have any comments about them? Would I always have to use Paypal? I don't have an account so by the time I h...

Re: 'War Series' postcards

Hi I'm trying to find out about a series of postcards entitled 'Tit Bits', 'War Series', that were produced in the UK during the Great War. Are any list members able to supply any further information, such as the company which produced these, the number produced, etc.? Many thanks Tit-Bits Magazine...

Re: Crematorium postcards

I have sold quite a few - so there must be plenty of other collectors out there. In certain instances I find them quite amusing - especially where they have been posted as a pure holiday/vacation postcard. I can understand them being posted after a recent family bereavement etc., - however, when pos...

Re: Wedding postcards from WWII

Hi, Thanks for coming back to me. Both photographs are lovely. The first one looks as though it was shot somewhere hot! The second, I am not so sure. I suppose I need to find a way checking what uniforms the men are wearing. How amazing that you have a box of cards all from WWII. Fabulous! Do you s...

Re: Wedding postcards from WWII

Hi Denise The wedding postcards are popular with collectors. Most of the postcards that I have located so far have sold very quickly. I do have a couple of photographs. First one has a date on the back 26/4/41 - measures 5.5 x 3.25 inches. Whether this is located in the UK or not is open to question...
