Re: Who is the top postcard AUCTION house???

hmmmm... ebay may have more to offer - but is it sale-able/selling?

I have just viewed an ebay seller who has over 700,000 postcards, cheapest being £4.99!! - just a dumping ground in my opinion... and trying to get the uninitiated ... most of the items can be found in 50p boxes at Fairs!!!

Re: Postcards not sold on Ebay

Best to sell them to Post Card trader direct ... either visit a fair near you if there is one: https://postcard.co.uk/fairs.php or by contacting a trader from this list here: https://postcard.co.uk/dealers.php - they will be happy to help. Ebay is not the only onlne sales site by the way ... eBid an...

Haha!! I guess that they are too busy on Social Media to write something meaningful on here ... shame, but never mind, at least we hard core posters can enjoy the peace and quiet instead!

Happy Hunting! :-)

Re: Warwick & Warwick Auctions

Yes, a trip to Warwick was always a good day out, especially if you managed to get some gems to take home. I always tried to take enough cash with me! During this pandemic most Auction Houses have gone over to online bidding only which comes at a cost to the consumer, now costing up to 30% on top of...

Re: Postcard Image Theft.

Yes, it is annoying, especially when more than half the eBay listings for a locality are copies. Very occasionally I do see a repro of a rare card of which I was unaware - this is informative, but irritating in that I'm unlikely ever to spot an original. There's one vendor in Australia who lists &q...

Re: HipPostcard

It's a US site and perhaps it works better over there - personally I don't like the look/feel of it. I attempted to setup an account this morning - seemed to accept my username/password/email initially. However, sign-in failed and a request for password reset failed as well ... an email informed the...

Re: John Walker & Co Geographic Series Index

Thanks for that link. Fairly incomplete, and missing the cards from the colonies. Is there a more complete list anywhere? True, there are some gaps in the numbering on there, including the overseas ones, but it's a pretty good listing and so well illustrated too. I'm sure the numbers are correct, j...
