How old is an 'OLD' postcard?

I've recently bought an 'OLD' un-posted black & white postcard on eBay and was disappointed to find that it must be post 1961 and not what I understand to be 'OLD'. I am wondering how old should a card be before it should be advertised as old. What do other people think? Is it just me that is to...

Dating Postcard Photographs

I am particularly interested in the old photographs on postcards and often find a shortage of dating clues on the reverse. I find myself checking up on features in the photographs. The prices seem resonable but I imagine the collection has to be rather limited. I suppose I was thinking of a database that anyone could contribute to and search online.

I'm also fairly sure that 'trademarks' including company names are different issue and are not affected by the same timescale as copyright law. If reproducing you should really obliterate / retouch any references logos etc. used by currently operating companies. I am only concerned with publishing ...
