A little harder to find as such, since by the time postcards were in vogue, Workhouses were being replaced as institutions/Hospitals/Old People's Homes and so on.

Are they signed by an artist, I wonder? - it would be great if you could post an example - comic postcards are plentiful - those by named artists are more popular.

I would guess that they were produced to raise funds for the hospital - I have similar ones for the Hackney Children's Hospital in East London which are nt uncommon, but is enough to find. The facts and figures are fascinating and, to me, add value to the views as great pieces of Social History. Val...
