Re: W H S Kingsway Postcards

I would like to know that and their starting date; but also WHS Kingsway must have been a HUGE operation, on the scale of Frith or Valentine - *what happened to their negatives* (presumably glass plates)? Certainly HHH (in a triangle) postcards are the same images with the same numbering as Kingswa...

W H S Kingsway Postcards

Does anyone know when WHS (WH Smith & Son) stopped producing their famous Kingsway series of postcards? - and is there a connection with Bridge House postcards?
Any help appreciated please... :-)

Re: Translation

I have been contacted by a collector who informs me that this postcard was published by Villard of Quimper, a town in South Finistere (Brittany) – hence the language which is Breton. Most of their cards went through many editions and all but the earliest ones had backs in French. The series was numb...

Royal Mint South Africa

The Royal Mint produced two sets of 12 postcards depicting the coin minting process at their works at Tower Hill London. These are fairly widely available and possibly valued at 50p to £1 each. But they also produced a series for the Royal Mint at Pretoria, South Africa... any one know about these, ...

Re: To eBay or not to eBay?

Still cannot understand why sellers stick with ebay (nicknamed 'greedbay') with the high cost of selling on there, they even charge you fees on the postage (cheek!) I know they have a lot of users, so why the exorbitant fees... why don't they reduce the costs in order to keep hold of them - hence th...

Re: Used postage stamps torn off cards - why?

Yes - little did they know what they were doing at the time! Worse I have seen is when the corner where the stamp was had been cut-out - completely ruining a real gem! ... and have you seen those in libraries where they have punched holes in them to inex/file! - ugh! How can they do that!

Re: Degen or Lewis Postcard

Desperate for a better copy of this postcard by either Degen or C & A G Lewis: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V7M1yCUvpfVoWA_W312FavZL6QkBVRmF/view?usp=sharing as you can see, my copy is a bit worse for wear! :) A popular publisher by collectors, these two... do I have the only (poor) copy? ... p...

M25 Postcards

The last section of London's M25 was famously opened by Margaret Thatcher 30 years ago today... but are there any postcards out there that mark the occassion?

I haven't seen any, have you?
