Re: Help Please
- ultra rare, eh? - would be nice to see these if you can get them on-line - the value depends on their appeal to collectors of course - in this case it may appeal to Royalty collectors too - for a local dealer try the Potteries Postcard Society; they meet 4th Monday of each month at St Peters Metho...

Darts Appeal
did you know that the game of Darts dates back to the middle ages? - here's a quote from http://www.britainexpress.com/History/pastimes/darts.htm : In 1908 a pub owner named Anakin in Leeds, Yorkshire, was taken to court for permitting darts to be played in his establishment. He offered to prove tha...

Re: twitter
Not sure - I have an account and don't use it much either, too many 'idiots' on there if you ask me with too much time on their hands - but all publicity is construed as good publicity as they (someone) sometimes say - enjoy!

Re: Any New Zealand members who could help?
I just wanted to let everyone know that there was a happy ending to this request for help! Thank you to eastlondonpostcard and especially his friend in New Zealand, Kevin Hannah, who went out of their way, to obtain the postcard I wanted so badly and send it to me in Canada. I am in the process of ...

Re: Rephotography and postcard site online - users needed
Has anybody been able to have a look at the site? I've had a quick glance - yes, the concept is good + the intro works well: creating then/now views to display publicly - hmmm, not sure postcard collectors will take to it easily or readily with the amount of work involved. I know many cards in my o...

Re: Bamforth song cards
They certainly seem exceptional to find like that and would appeal to Bamforth collectors and attract a premium on top of what are not very expensive postcards to collect. My guess is that they are printer proofs/trials/samples. Great find! Of course, Bamforth are more well known for their saucy com...

Thanks
Judges of Hastings are still operating and so too are Francis Frith with their old books and prints - rule of thumb is to look up a publisher and check if they are still operating .......... hope it helps
