Now that the BBCode has be switched on again, for those who don't know what a print by Samuel and Nathaniel Buck looks like, here's an example of one I purchased last year.

Thank you. That's good news. But I fully understand that it may have to be turned off again if problems re-occur.

Placing images in topics

Is there some way in which members can post images of postcards in topics? This would be useful for those who are searching for particular types of cards. When I went to the London Postcard Fair in October, I wanted to show dealers the type of card I was after, and took an example around with me, as...

I know the poll finished long ago, but there's no harm in adding my own comments. Certainly, I find in the office it is far easier to file BEHIND the marker - anything else would confuse matters. With regards to postcards - I prefer them also to be filed behind the marker (something which probably s...

Ian, Local postcard fairs are probably the best places to visit to find postcards of the area you are looking for. Assuming that you live near to your area of interest, there are postcard fairs at Beckenham and Haywards Heath on Saturday 3rd February. Check out the "Postcard Fairs" link in...

Storing postcards

I'm fast running out of storage space for my collection. How do others store their collection of postcards, and what is the safest way to do so?

Thanks for the tip. I'll be down that way next weekend (in Steyning), so a trip to Brighton might be possible.

Canterbury Postcard Fair

I note from your list of postcard fairs that the ones which are held in Canterbury, Kent, are not mentioned. I have been advised that the dates for these in 2007 are as follows: CANTERBURY POSTCARD & COLLECTORS FAIR Saturday 10th February Saturday 14th April Saturday 9th June Saturday 6th Octobe...

Kevin - thank you for the response. I will try various options, but maybe I will have to wait until I next go to one of the postcard fairs, and ask around there too.

I'm surprised not to have received a response to this one. Maybe I should have worded my initial message differently. Does anyone know of any valuer who would be willing to value my collection for insurance purposes? Individuals or companies who advertise on the internet appear to only accept collec...

Well, finally found one of Canterbury Keep on e-Bay. Anyone seen an antique postcard of West Malling Castle, also known as St.Leonard's Tower, from Kent.
Still very interested in postcards of the Buck brothers' prints too.

Isles of Scilly

I would be interested in obtaining pre-1940 postcards of the following:

Ennor Castle, St. Mary's.
Harry's Walls, St. Mary's.
King Charles' Castle, Tresco,
The Old Blockhouse, Tresco.

Thanks
