For me, it's the fairs. However, I don't drive, so I tend to be limited to those within a train-ride distance. Local fairs I go to less often than I used to, as I find dealers do not have a huge turnover of stock, so I would be mainly looking through the same stuff again. I try to do London once a y...
'Where is everybody?' They're all looking for bargains on ebay I'm afraid.
I've found very few "bargain" postcards on e-bay. Had far more success at BIPEX - numerically and financially. OK - so I took three days out, but commuting to London each da...

Hello Chris Longbottom,

I have three postcards of the Castle of Mey in my collection, and am willing to part with one of them. I'll send you a private post message with the details of the three I have.

I started collecting vintage postcards in 1978, when I was only 14. That clearly puts me in the "younger" bracket even now. :D

Thank you for the compliment.
1. A significant proportion of dealers appears to be around the senior-citizen mark; I suspect many of them are in the trade for pleasure as well as profit, but there must come a time when they tire of driving all over the place and lugging those boxes in and out of hal...

I did the full three days. Thursday was busy, but not manic. Friday and Saturday were more restful - and for me, productive (particularly after 3pm when things were quieter). I came away with 203 postcards in total. When my wife asked me where I was going to put them all, I produced two new ...

Hi. I thought the Y&C was Young & Cooper. I have a couple of their cards, but in my own collection of castle postcards.

I'm getting all psyched up for the BIPEX at the end of the month. Maybe I can meet some of you guys there.

It will be good to match faces with the names from here.

My batch arrived today. I am pleased with the outcome. The monochrome ones seemed to be of better quality than the coloured ones, but I think that is down to the images I provided, rather than the printing. I will be using them again - but will wait to see how much money I spend at the postcard fair...

No, I hadn't - but have now. 'tis too late to change my mind. I'll see how they come out. Mine are of old prints, so ......

Not to worry - it's not a huge amount.
I'll report back later.

I've just sent a cheque off to "Clear Thought" for my first batch. It will be interesting to see how good the cards are. If I am satisfied, I may make another order.

That's really great. I'd been searching for some time, without success, for something similar.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. :D
