2012 Fair Dates for postcard.co.uk
I've emailed fair organisers and many have sent their dates for 2012 for inclusion on the fairs list. If you are a PTA member who organises fairs and have not heard from me - it will be because I don't have your current email address. Please contact me directly with your list. Equally if you are kno...

Re: Question about prints
300 dpi (or dots per inch) is the standard requirement for printing an image 'same size' If you've scanned your card at a lower dpi rate than this you can use photoshop to 'resample' the image. (Image > Image Size > Resolution ) ... Photoshop does a reasonable job of this but the result will be a mu...

Re: Picture postcard paper
Ilford do actually produce a black & white 'postcard' paper in 6 x 4 (approx) size. But it's a resin coasted type and the back is already pre-printed as a postcard. Traditional fibre based cards were produced on a heavyweight base. This has not been available for quite a while. You can get 'doub...

Bamforth Song Cards
They are 'worth' on average about £5 per set. But don't sell particularly well lately.

Re: Removing postcards from and album
There's no easy answer to this as all methods will work for some types of card but not others, it also very much depends on the type of glue used and whether you want to keep the pages intact. If you really must do it... try experimenting on one or two of the least interesting/valuable items. But fr...

Re: Crumbling album?
Current thinking is that paper collectables including postcards and photographs should be stored in inert or acid-free materials. Old albums are caertainly not acid free, but we constantly come across collections that have survived well for the past 100 years or so with hardly any effect on the card...

Re: Images by Publisher Salmon
I'm sure Salmon are one of the few companies where fairly complete listings do actually exist..
I had a set of photocopies of a Salmon produced listing some years back. I'll see if it's still around.

Re: Making My Own Postcards
Try the manufacturers support pages for the particular model.
eg. If you go to the Epson website and look up support for a random model the Stylus S20. If you check drivers & software you'll see a list driver downloads available... the earliest being June 2008.
