Postcard with message hidden between two layers

I have 3 postcards which have writing hidden between the two layers of the postcard and would like to find out more about them. The front pictures are three different black and white views of Ryde (Isle of Man) the back is a blank normal postcard divided back. When you hold the cards up to the light you can see writing between the two layers and the three together make one full letter most of which is legible. Is this usual?

These sound incredible. Have you any photos of them or scanned images? I guess it would be hard to replicate?

If you fancy I could open it up for discussion on my blog on postcard messages... http://www.postcardese.com

Would love to see them. I've quite a few coded messages up on the site http://www.postcardese.com/search/label/Code

For example

But this sounds like secrecy on a whole new level! How exciting

Hope to hear from you!
