Hello to All,
I have just started to collect old Postcards of Capitol Cities, I have a nice card of Berlin and on the rear it reads: Ansichtskarten-Ausstellung " Bediene Dich selbst"
Berlin Friedrich strasse 164.
I take it the company traded under the name " Help you self ", yet I cannot find any information of the said company.
Can anyone help me please with information?
Thank you

Re: German postcard printers
Hello
"Bediene Dich selbst"
That postcard would I believe have come from an automatic dispensing machine - hence the translation "help yourself" or "serve yourself". So the name would be on the machine as well as on the postcards.
Not sure of the background of the company - I am sure someone will.
I would love one of those machines though....

It may be a false trail but I have seen suggestions that the Austrian publisher Brüder Kohn (BKWi) had a Berlin presence at 164 Friedrichstraße, Berlin.
