comic artist trow

Post by FIELDB »

I am trying to sort out one or two cards by this artists. Information I have is that firstly this was the pseudonym of a Frank Eric Smith who died 1985.He drew many seaside postcards in the late 40's and early 50's.He drew his name from Trowbridge and stopped drawing in 1952.But new cards still appeared signed "Trow" until the late 1960's, which could have been the work of Thomas Trow of Stoke-on Trent who died in 1971..The other part of the puzzle is there appears to be two publishers involved: C.Richter (Publishers) Ltd London and Brook Publishing Co Ltd N.16.On top of that both publishers have printed the same Trow card 11935 with the same signature on it "Trow"Could anyone throw any light on the two Trows and the two publishers. :?: :?: :?:
