It's that time of year again and I'd like to wish everybody a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

This card is an old favourite of mine from my childhood. A product of John Hinde Ltd showing a picturesque winter view of Bray Head, County Wicklow in Southern Ireland - I grew up in its shadow and had a groove worn to its summit back in the late 1960s. Where does time ago? Another absolutely manic year and we're approaching Christmas again. Here's my latest offering and my personal card for 2018.

Original postcard purchased for a couple of pounds and with a little magic from Vistaprint good to go. The wonderful original hand-painted card was sent to a Ms.A.Richardson, 48 Woodvale, Forest Hill, London and delivered on Christmas Day 1903. Artist, postman and recipient all long gone to their just rewards but the painting lives on.

Happy Christmas to all from the Sunny South East of Ireland.

Is the thought of getting out
(of 2020) I'll be glad to see the 1st January 2021.

To cheer myself up I started my Christmas card production earlier than usual this year - four cards - two repeats and two new ones all printed by Vistaprint as usual. Sadly, I could find no postcard to adapt this year and my two new cards were produced using original artwork. The Robin on the old boot is from a painting by the untraceable W Huston - an Irish bird artist active in the 1970s; and the cartoon Robins from original Christmas card artwork by the equally elusive Patricia Champness. The first is for adults/families and the Patricia Champness one for the children.

Anyway, here they are and I like to wish one and all all a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
