Finding information about a Reliable Series postcard?

Post by JerryB »

I have a postcard of the West of Scotland Convalescent Home, Dunoon. Reliable Series R1534. There is a group of people standing outside the Home, does anyone know if there is a way to find out any details or background the image? It is franked 1912. many thanks, JerryB

Googling will lead to snippets of information and, very happily, an on-line history, c1909, Byegone years of the West of Scotland Convalescent Seaside Homes, Dunoon.

Hi Thanks for your reply.
I have already seen the Bygone Years article. but thanks for pointing it out.
I was trying to find out if it were at all possible to find out what the postcard celebrated? Why the staff were lined up on the green?
I realise after all these years that will likely not be possible, but I thought I'd take the chance and ask.
Thanks for taking the trouble.
