Inherited collection

Post by Benderart »

Hi there,
I'm an ex patriot Kiwi, been living in Australia since the late '70's.
When my Mother died several years ago, I inherited my Grandparents postcard collection.
My grandmother was Scottish, my Grandfather Welsh and, the postcards were collected on their regular trips back to the UK in the 40's, 50's and early 60's.
I have a total of 263 cards, roughly half are black and white, all are in unused, good condition.
I've had them in storage for several years and, only now deciding it was high time they went to someone that would appreciate them.
I realise this question has probably been asked more than once, if so, please bear with me.....I'm interested to know the best method of advertising and selling the cards.....Any input would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

Living in Australia you might want to list them here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/ - which caters for sellers in Aus/NZ only - or there are the other mainstream sales sites you can use - they all make charges etc.

It that doesn't appeal and you want to sell them as a lot, then get to a local Postcard fair near you and approach one or two dealers for best offer.

Best Luck
